Leading the team with expertise and an excruciating attention to detail is Team Owner and Crew Chief Håkan Averstedt. Håkan is a seasoned racing veteran, bringing over 22 years of International Racing experience to the team. As a Crew Chief with the highest enthusiasm for building race engines, he led the team to the fastest run ever in Europe in 1998. As a driver, he is himself a 2-time European Champion and 3-time European record holder. His driving experience and mechanical proficiency provide the team with added depth and the winning edge in the quest for the perfect car.

Averstedt Nitro Racing – The New A/Fuel Dragster

Firing up the new A/Fuel Dragster is a lot like the Top Fuel cars Viveca is used to driving, but there are some distinct differences. Although an A/Fuel dragster bears a striking resemblance to the top fuel car, most top alcohol dragsters burn methanol. Competition is based on weight to cubic inch formula and non-supercharged nitro-burning entries are permitted. Engines are limited to between 420 and 470 cubic inches, depending on the type. This car will run the quarter-mile in less than 5.3 seconds at speeds exceeding 275 mph.
